The Bagmati River Cleaning activity last Friday was an awesome experience for me in terms of associating myself with an environmental protection activity that means a lot to the adjoining  inhabitants of Bagmati River. I learned about the tenacity of the people in combating this threat to the ecology. What made this community project a memorable one was that over 140 participants from the Access Summit participated in a collaborative venture with different segments of the Nepalese community in Kathmandu that involved cleaning the river and creating awareness of the importance of cleaning the river. It is a social challenge as much as it is an environmental threat.
